Race Day Survivor Events
Breakfast for survivors is compliments of Mimi's Cafe and will be served at 6:00 a.m. Race morning in the Survivor Tent. The Survivor Tent will be located in the Expo area which is in the parking lot of Rock Ledge Ranch. Please refer to Race pages on this site for parking information and allow extra time for transport as parking is a distance away and buses will transport people. You can pick up your pink shirts and hats at the survivor's tent. At 6:45 a.m. there will be a Survivor’s Parade of Pink from the Survivor Tent to the main stage. This parade kicks off the opening ceremonies followed by the 5K Run at 7:30 a.m. and 5K Walk at 7:50 a.m. After the run/walk (9:45 a.m.) there will be a Survivor Celebration and Awards Ceremony at the main stage which includes drawings for survivor prizes.
In Memory and In Celebration placards are available at the Information Tent and Survivor's Tent on Race Day. They are also available at our Walk-In Registration sites and the Race Store at the Citadel Mall.
Survivor Luncheon & Fashion Show
The 2008 Survivor Luncheon will be held October 25th from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Marriott Hotel. The invitations have been sent.
The process for RSVP's is as follows:
To reserve a seat at the luncheon, please call the RSVP line at 476-1675. Please speak slowly and clearly, stating and spelling the last name or names of the people for whom you’re making reservations. After each name please state whether they are a survivor or a supporter. (You are limited to 2 supporters on a first-come, first-served basis.) Please leave a phone number so that our RSVP taker can call you back to confirm your reservation.
The cutoff date for reservations is 10 PM on Oct 12th. Supporters please mail checks to be received by October 14th as shown on the invitation. You may also pay by credit card when your reservation is confirmed. We are not able to reserve tables. All money that is received is nonrefundable.
