Volunteering
Volunteers enable our organization to strengthen existing programs, add new programs, procure funds and resources, add specialized skills and talents, and increase public awareness of services.
We need volunteers year-round as well as for our Race for the Cure® and other special events. Please fill out a volunteer information and release
form
. Be sure to indicate the amount of time you have available and any special skills you have. If you are currently on a committee or know what areas interest you please include that as well. After completing and signing the form please mail to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, 625 N. Cascade Suite 110, Colo. Spgs., CO 80903.

Current Year-round Volunteer Positions
Race Planning Committees
There are many Race planning sub-committees too. Volunteers on the planning committees should not plan on participating Race morning.
Transportation
Parking Leads and Attendants for 6 parking lots
Bus Attendants (20 to 25 buses)
Drivers to transport the handicapped
Information/Direction providers for people getting on/off busses
Operations
Site and Course Trash Pickup
Set Up and Tear Down Lead and Crew
Signs (Road Signs, Crowd Signs, Line-up Signs, Banner Hanging)
Operations tent manager (radios, golf carts, supplies)
Information Tent Lead and Helpers
Electrical Contractor to plan/implement site electrical needs
Water Coordinator
Course Set Up (bands, water stations, port-o-lets)
Race Volunteer Manager & Helpers
Refreshments
Sponsorship
People to help call on sponsors
Videographer to create a video for use in getting sponsors
Sponsor event committee (coctail party)
Survivors
VIPs
