 Thank you to everyone who supported Country for the Cure! The evening was a great success because of our fantastic sponsors, guests, and volunteers. We celebrated with nearly 250 friends at the event. Many guests and sponsors joining us for the event had never attended/participated in a Komen event before. Thank you for your support and welcome to the Komen family! Candy and her band were fabulous! We can’t wait to see them again.
 Through generous cash and in-kind donations, our Affiliate raised more than $74,000 in resources. Thank you! We are proud to say that 75 percent of all net funds raised by the Southeastern Colorado Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure stay right here in our community (El Paso, Pueblo, Teller counties) and are used to provide education, support, treatment, and screening to those battling breast cancer in our three county service area. Additionally, 25 percent of all net funds raised by the Southeastern Colorado Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure are directed to national breast cancer research. People giving locally are making an impact locally. We love that!
Thanks again to all of you for your support of our vision…a world without breast cancer!
